Power of the internet

Google it has become the default position to settle pub arguments based on facts. However, today’s post is about a different website. YouTube.

I’ve taken on extra responsibility on the farm – mostly in the shop. This has seen me chopping joints and rolling them, to be tied off in a butchers knot.

If you’d asked me six months ago how to do it, I’d have just shrugged my shoulders. But not now! Following the viewing of a couple of YouTube videos, I can tell you about the two types of knot needed and the insurance knot to keep it tight. Thank you, YouTube.

But that’s not all I’ve learned – carving a leg of lamb – sorted. Cutting flat iron steaks out of the shoulder blade of a cow? Yeah got that one down too.

There are people who have learned to play musical instruments through YouTube so clearly there’s a lot of value to be gained from watching videos. I’m not sure the same value can be gained from reading my blog, but hopefully, it provides some interest into your life!
